A Message from Our President

Enjoy browsing throughout this website and receive a good idea of what the CPC is all about. Looking at the “What to Collect” section under the “About” drop down, you see the various types of Christmas related items our members collect. One of the major assets of being a CPC member is receiving copies of the Yule Log, our award winning quarterly journal. Reviewing the “Yule Log” section also under the “About” drop down you see many examples of the type of articles included in the Yule Log. There are 50 Years of Yule Logs available to members on a flash drive for a reasonable cost. What a wealth of Christmas philatelic information! Another major benefit of being a CPC member is interacting with fellow CPC members and sharing ideas about your Christmas philatelic interest.

Our Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2019 and prepared a number of special publications for this event. These included (1) a special supplement to our Yule Log on Collecting Christmas which provides a detailed introduction to topical philately using Christmas items as examples; (2) a monograph on the history of the Christmas, Florida Post Office—its history, cachets, postmarks, postcards, airmail, World War II patriotic covers, Christmas seals, precancels, and FDCs for the 1969 and 1995 US Christmas issues for which the town was the first day of issue city; and (3) a fully updated 287 page checklist for Worldwide Christmas Stamps. The CPC is offering these publications at member prices to everyone as well as a special new membership offer that includes some of these publications. Please visit the 50th Anniversary submenu under our “About” drop down menu for details. Joining is a great way of increasing your joy in collecting Christmas stamps. When you become a new CPC member, please introduce yourself to me online or at our next meeting.
